Local Law Enforcement
Approximately 50 automobiles have been covered with what appears to be blood from a person in the German town of Hanau in proximity to Frankfurt, as reported by law enforcement.
Automobiles, building surfaces and mailboxes were defaced, in some cases with Nazi symbols, they stated in a statement.
Law enforcement say they were notified in the late hours on Wednesday night, when a man observed that a vehicle in the Lamboy area of Hanau had been marked with a red-colored substance.
The fluid had been applied in the shape of a banned symbol, they reported.
Officers then located multiple other smeared cars and residential walls in the adjacent neighborhood.
These symbols are banned in Germany under laws prohibiting the public exhibition of Nazi symbols.
Law enforcement say preliminary tests indicate the fluid was most likely human bodily fluid.
"There is still no clue as to its origin; authorities are not yet informed of any injuries in association with the incident," they commented.
City officials said they were trying "to resolve the incident" and have asked to the community for details.
An important official said the vandalism rendered him without words and required to be solved quickly.
"This act affects the very heart of Hanau and reawakens the wounds of the right-wing terrorist attack five years ago," he wrote on a platform, recalling the murder of nine individuals by a gunman targeting individuals of immigrant origin in 2020.
